What to Expect From a Personal Styling Session in Boston
If you are considering a Personal Styling Session in Boston, the most useful appointment is one that starts with your actual life rather than a prescribed look. At Diversity Consignment in Jamaica Plain, our two hour Personal Styling Sessions are built around fit, proportion, color, lifestyle, budget, wardrobe needs, and the way you want to express yourself.
Start with a conversation
Your stylist begins by learning what is working in your wardrobe and what is getting in the way. That can include difficulty finding flattering proportions, wanting more complete outfits, navigating a change in size, dressing for work or events, experimenting with a new aesthetic, or simply wanting shopping to feel less overwhelming.
Shop a focused edit
Instead of searching the full store alone, your stylist creates a focused pull from the secondhand inventory currently available at Diversity. Because consignment inventory changes constantly, every session is different. The goal is not to force you into a predetermined style. It is to narrow the store into pieces that make sense for your body, preferences, budget, and goals.
Build complete outfits
The appointment goes beyond choosing individual garments. Your stylist can help with silhouette, proportion, layering, footwear, accessories, color relationships, and ways to make new pieces work with clothing you already own.
What does it cost?
The booking fee is $50 and is applied toward clothing purchased during your appointment. Personal Styling Sessions are two hours and take place at Diversity Consignment in Jamaica Plain, Boston.
