Armani is one of the most recognized names in fashion, but not all Armani is created equal. The brand is structured into a tiered system of labels—each with its own target audience, price point, and quality standard. Whether you’re thrifting, reselling, or shopping luxury, knowing the differences can help you identify true value.
Here’s a breakdown of the main Armani labels:
1. Giorgio Armani (Haute Couture / Luxury)

Top Tier – High-End Luxury
-
Price Point: $$$$
-
Quality: Highest
-
Where It’s Sold: Giorgio Armani boutiques, high-end department stores
-
What to Expect: Tailored suits, premium fabrics (cashmere, silk, wool blends), and refined craftsmanship. Made primarily in Italy.
This is the original and most prestigious line, worn on red carpets and featured on runways. If you find Giorgio Armani secondhand, it’s likely vintage or high-value.
2. Armani Collezioni (Now Discontinued and Merged with Giorgio Armani)

Upper-Mid Tier – Classic Businesswear
-
Price Point: $$$
-
Quality: High
-
What to Expect: Suits and office attire with quality tailoring, though not as elevated as the main Giorgio Armani line.
Although discontinued, pieces still circulate in resale markets. Known for timeless style and better pricing than the mainline.
3. Emporio Armani

Mid Tier – Trend-Driven and Contemporary
-
Price Point: $$
-
Quality: Moderate to High
-
Where It’s Sold: Emporio Armani stores, outlets, some department stores
-
What to Expect: Fashion-forward pieces targeting younger customers. Includes accessories, watches, and ready-to-wear.
Made in a mix of countries; you’ll find both quality pieces and more mass-produced items under this label.
4. Armani Exchange (A|X)

Entry Level – Youth Market
-
Price Point: $
-
Quality: Fast Fashion Equivalent
-
Where It’s Sold: A|X stores, mall retailers, online
-
What to Expect: Trendy styles, graphic tees, denim, casualwear. More about the name than the quality.
This is Armani’s most affordable and accessible line, but it's often produced with synthetic fabrics and overseas manufacturing. Great for budget-conscious shoppers but not built to last like higher-end lines.
5. Armani Jeans (Often merged with Emporio Armani)
Casualwear & Denim-Focused
-
Price Point: $$
-
Quality: Moderate
-
What to Expect: Everyday basics—jeans, jackets, tees. Formerly its own brand, it now largely exists as a subcategory within Emporio Armani.
Look for country of origin and fabric quality here—it can be hit or miss.
Key Takeaway for Shoppers & Resellers:
-
Giorgio Armani = luxury resale gold.
-
Emporio Armani = still strong resale value with contemporary appeal.
-
Armani Exchange = brand recognition, not long-term value.
Understanding these tiers helps assess quality, pricing, and resale potential—especially in the consignment and secondhand market. If you come across an Armani piece, check the label carefully: it tells the full story.

Actually This is wrong.
Haute Couture is “Armani Prive” which is highest tier for Women’s line.
“Giorgio armani Black Label” is the highest tier for men’s line, however, womens also have their black label. Not to be confused with “Prive” – The real haute couture.
