Zara
ZARA
Quick history
Zara was founded in 1975 in Galicia, Spain by Amancio Ortega and Rosalía Mera. Instead of following the traditional fashion calendar, Zara pioneered “fast fashion,” meaning it could design, produce, and deliver new styles to stores in just a few weeks. This allowed Zara to react almost instantly to what people were actually wearing on the street, in clubs, and online. By the 1990s and 2000s, Zara became a global staple for trend-driven, affordable fashion — shaping how an entire generation learned to dress, experiment, and express themselves through clothing.
