The Andover Shop was founded in 1957 in Harvard Square, Cambridge, by European émigré tailors who brought Old World menswear craftsmanship to Ivy League America.

It became a quiet epicenter of the Ivy Style movement—selling natural-shoulder jackets, oxford cloth shirts, tweed sport coats, and understated tailoring that emphasized fit, fabric, and longevity over trends.
