Stop Building Self-Serving Businesses

Do us all a favor — don’t go into business or create a service if you’re not willing to go above and beyond to deliver outstanding customer service and a meaningful experience.

The world is already bland enough as it is. Don’t make it less enjoyable for the rest of us — do what you can to make it better, richer, and more human.

I think one of the biggest mistakes failing businesses make (and yes, we’ve fallen into this at times too) is forgetting who this is really for. You can’t build something great if the intention is purely self-serving. It has to exist for the good of the community.

And if that’s truly the mission, then anything short of outrageous customer service simply doesn’t make sense.

When we mess up, we don’t shift blame. We take accountability. We go above and beyond to make it right. Because in a world where “sorry” is often the bare minimum, simply apologizing isn’t good enough.

Community deserves better — and it’s our job to deliver it.
